The Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Virginia Celebrated National American Indian Heritage Month 2015 with the theme “Growing Native Leaders: Enhancing Our Seven Generations”. Chief “Red Hawk” Brown was the guest speaker with other tribal members in attendance. Chief Brown shared the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe and Virginia Native history. He also presented a Wampum Belt to RADM Thomas Shannon, who presented a token to Chief Brown at the closing of the program.
